We Help You Become

Carbon Neutral

Your activities produce carbon
and native trees can absorbe it.

Planting 1 tree a month you can neutralize your carbon footprint.

If you are a company, we can help you

offset your footprint.

What is the Carbon Footprint?

It is the sum of greenhouse gases that a person, company, organization, product or service emits directly or indirectly. The average carbon footprint per person in our country is 5 tons of CO2 per year.

These figures are determined based on our daily use of transport, products, and energy, among others. Behind each product, there is a manufacturing process, and all throughout the process up to consumption, CO2 is emitted.

Trees naturally capture CO2 from the atmosphere through photosynthesis and use it to form carbohydrates used in plant structure, while releasing oxygen (O2) as a by-product. Trees are considered to act as what is called carbon sinks: they store carbon in their branches, trunk, leaves and roots.

Why does carbon heat the Planet?

The energy of the sun, which is in the form of short wavelength, passes through the atmosphere to reach the Earth. Some of it is reflected as long wavelength.

This energy seeks to leave the atmosphere and return to space. But greenhouse gases have a special feature: they allow short wavelengths to pass through, but not long wavelengths. This means that they allow the sun’s energy to enter the system of the Earth but not to leave, thus generating the greenhouse effect. This effect is natural and allows the development of life on the Earth.

However, due to human action, the concentration of these gases has exceeded the limits of what is desirable for the stability of life, generating what we know as

global warming.

CO2 is a greenhouse gas. Through the process of photosynthesis, trees absorb this gas, store it in their tissues and release oxygen, fighting global warming.
